Norwich Development Consultant Speaks at Australian Conference

Norwich-based management development consultant, Stephanie Allen has just returned from a speaking engagement at the ‘Student Services Management Centres - Changing Expectations’ Conference, organised by the Association of Tertiary Education Management in Perth, Western Australia. Her invitation, as the only UK representative  to speak at the prestigious event is a result of  her work on a number of projects she is undertaking for universities across the UK.

“I was thrilled to be invited,” she commented, “and although I was only able to free up a week, it was invaluable to meet delegates and speakers from across the Southern hemisphere”. There is a great similarity between the work I’m involved in here, and that in Australia but I also learnt a great deal and hopefully was able to share ideas with colleagues from ‘down under’.

The annual conference shares ideas and processes on how the student experience at further or higher education institutions can be improved. Stephanie supports universities managing the cultural change and skills requirements in creating a ‘one stop shop’ for all student services departments.

Stephanie founded Chapel Associates, a Management Development Consultancy and works with a wide range of clients in both public and private sectors to, as she describes it, ‘help managers get better at what they do.’ Chapel Associates also offers qualifications for managers and their people up to and including postgraduate- level awards.
